FAQs

I am a graduating senior. Am I eligible for a BPEF internship?

Yes. The internship program is open to full-time college students who will have completed their sophomore year in June of the current year, as well as to graduate students.

Can I get school credit for my internship?

BPEF encourages students to participate in for-credit internships. However, each school has its own criteria for granting course credit, and each employer has different policies and procedures regarding the internships they offer. It is therefore up to your school and your employer.

If my internship is outside of my area of residence, will BPEF find me housing?

No. You are responsible for your own housing.

I am interested in an internship at a medical magazine. Do I need to know a lot about the health care industry?

Although prior knowledge of or experience in the relevant industry is a plus, it is certainly not required. Many former BPEF interns started their internships with very little knowledge of the industry that their host magazine covered. You will learn a lot on the job!
